David Hughes has been fascinated with the interaction of sound and images his entire life.
For the past fifteen years he has worked as a freelance sound designer and sound editor at Skywalker Sound, on films by Mamoru Oshii, David Fincher,
Robert Redford, Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg and many other notable filmmakers.

David has also worked as the sound designer and mixer on dozens of commercials, television shows and video games for clients such as Activision,
Electronic Arts, PBS, Adidas, Nissan and many others over his 20 + year long career.

Following the trend in post production over the past few years, David is now providing editorial and final mixes for smaller budget films -
and finished premixes for larger budget films - in his comfy sound design studio in Portland, Oregon. This location allows for lower operating costs,
lower rates, and more time in the studio to perfect your soundtrack.

Studio rates include a Pro tools HD2 accel system, 5.1 Dynaudio monitors, an amazing sound library with tons of original material, a complete field recording rig and one of the best, most experienced sound designers and mixers on the west coast.
